NADA GB (National Auricular Detoxification Association of Great Britain) is part of a worldwide network of organisations that deliver the NADA Acupuncture Protocol to people in need.
Rob is a qualified, accredited and insured member of NADA GB. He is also proud to be one of the founder members of E.A.R. (Ear Acupuncture for Refugees). WHAT IS THE NADA PROTOCOL? NADA is a specific branch of Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture. Auricular Acupuncture is just one of the many ancient branches of Acupuncture that came originally from China. Rather than needling acupoints on the body, entire treatments can be given by inserting specialist needles into tiny points within the ear. There are a great many such points, with a very diverse range of uses. Auricular Acupuncture is internationally recognised as a highly effective therapy. The NADA Protocol, however, is slightly different. It uses only the same five ear points at each treatment, and was designed for a particular purpose. |
NADA was inspired by the work of a Chinese doctor in Hong Kong in the 1970’s, who had a keen interest in treating people who suffered from PTSD (Post Traumatic Shock Syndrome). A development of this work soon became the NADA Protocol, and is now practiced worldwide in many situations.
NADA is famous for principally two things: the treatment of trauma and PTSD, and also Detox from Substance or Alcohol Abuse. It is recognised as a potential treatment of choice by The International Red Cross and the NHS, amongst others.
In practice, NADA is highly effective for a great many issues apart from trauma or detox: stress, anxiety, depression, menopause, ‘burnout’ syndromes and insomnia to name but a few.
Other examples of those who continue to benefit from NADA include: survivors and emergency service personnel from 9/11, those involved in the Grenfell fire in London as well as the inhabitants of many refugee camps around the world.
NADA is usually performed seated, and in a group session. However it can also be applied as a one-to-one therapy. Rob is currently using his NADA skills both in private practice, and on a voluntary basis with refugees in the UK.
